New Construction

JCSU's bold vision for the future includes new construction developments on campus, as well as along Beatties Ford Road.

Science Center

Thanks to a generous grant from The Duke Endowment, JCSU will construct a $25 million new state-of-the-art Science Center to promote the study of STEM.

George E. Davis House

The former home of Dr. George E. Davis stands a block from the campus of Johnson C. Smith University. It is currently under renovation to serve as the Foster Village Network Center.

Duke Hall

JCSU is in the process of giving Duke Hall an energy-efficient facelift. The building will have 36 residential suites housing 70 students after renovation.


Sustainability Village will integrate academic coursework, research, service learning and experiential education opportunities.

International Way will serve as a tangible representation of the University’s commitment to global education and diversity programs.
