Water Fitness Program
Water fitness is a balanced group exercise class of cardio endurance, muscular endurance, and increase range of motion and flexibility that promotes general fitness. Each class will consist of a warm-up component, conditioning phase, and a cool down component. Often the conditioning phase of water fitness classes, which is the primary exercise mode, is cardio in nature but with the focus on muscular endurance.
Shallow Water Aerobics
The exercises in this class are perform while vertical in shallow water. Water resistance creates an environment that improves cardiovascular conditioning, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility and balance. Classes may incorporate multiple types of exercise: shallow water moves, incorporate dance movements, games designed to challenge dynamic balance, and interval training.
This 45 minute class will lead participants through a series of specifically designed exercises. With the aid of the water buoyancy and resistance, the warm water and gentle movements can help relive pain, stiffness, and improve joint flexibility
