Research and Communication
Data from the various programs offered by JCSU will be analyzed and shared publicly to further develop the overall program, as well as to affect state policy concerning youth aging out of foster care, and attract public and private funding necessary for the program to continue.
Creating awareness for and access to the program – and most importantly, the possibilities available to youth in the foster care system – is of the utmost priority. Relevant groups currently being targeted include:
- Foster youth in the Charlotte area, in the Carolinas and throughout the United States
- Supportive foster families and associations critical to reaching these youth
- Local and state government child welfare agencies and social workers
- Partners within the Charlotte area community to further advance the development and success of this comprehensive program
