Blue Ocean Strategy
In 2011, JCSU was selected by the White House Initiative for Historically Black Colleges and Universities to participate in an innovative proof-of-concept project to employ Blue Ocean Strategy principles to develop a pragmatic strategy to increase student retention and graduation.
Blue Ocean Strategy is a strategic mindset and execution methodology that creates unprecedented value at a lower cost. Faculty and staff are working to examine the entire student experience and how it can be improved to help students graduate.
In an effort to keep the Johnson C. Smith University community informed of the developments in the process, information regarding the project, any findings and notifications for open meetings will be posted.
Throughout this phase of the Blue Ocean Strategy assessment, members of the JCSU community and others are invited to join the conversation and contribute ideas.
